Your dog gets stronger because you went outside.

HoundWard turns the walk you already take into a pixel-art RPG. Every street you cover claims ground on a map other players can see — and try to take off you.

Walk

Distance builds Strength and Endurance. Pace adds Speed. Teaching your real dog a real trick — on separate days, with the camera on — is the only thing that lifts Intelligence.

Hold

Your route claims 20-metre squares. They fade if you stop walking them, and a rival who walks your street can take them.

Fight

Dens on the map are captured by winning a turn-based battle. Packs pool territory. Seasons run three months and pay out.

Get in early

Where your invite goes. Nothing else.

iPhone goes first. Android follows — you will be told which wave you are in.

This one matters. Territory, packs and duels only work when other players are walking near you, so invites go out city by city — densest first.

One email when your wave opens, and nothing else. No sharing, no selling. Reply "stop" and you are off the list.

What happens next

  1. You get one email when your city's wave opens — a TestFlight link on iPhone, a Play Store test link on Android.
  2. You walk your dog. That is the whole ask. Fifteen minutes a day is plenty to see whether this is any good.
  3. You tell us what is broken. There is a report button in the app, and it goes straight to the person who wrote the bug.
